The NOVAGA Chapter Meeting for May will be on May 16, 2019 from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm at the Old Ebbitt Grill.
Our speaker will be Tom Brandt, the Chief Risk Officer for the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and leads the agency’s enterprise risk management (ERM) program. Mr. Brandt is a member of the federal Senior Executive Service (SES) and also serves as the President of the Association for Federal Enterprise Risk Management (AFERM).
Prior to his role at the IRS, Mr. Brandt served as the Head of the Tax Administration Unit at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in Paris, France.

Join us Tuesday, April 23, 2019 for the AGA Northern Virginia Chapter Spring Workshop. Attendees of this workshop can expect to learn updated accounting and auditing guidance from Treasury, OMB, GAO, and FASAB applicable to the government environment.
In addition, participants will learn new management techniques and practical tips to increase efficiency in government financial operations.
The cost for this event will be $75 for AGA members and $85 for non-members.
