Welcome to a new year at the AGA Washington, Northern Virginia Chapter! AGA is THE member organization for financial professionals in government. We lead and encourage change that benefits our field and all citizens. Our networking events, professional certification, publications and ongoing education help members build their skills and advance their careers. AGA supports the careers and professional development of government finance professionals working in federal, state and local governments as well as the private sector and academia.
In stepping into the role of Chapter President, I am grateful to be surrounded by such a supportive board and membership. For the 2014-2015 year, the Board will focus on three high priority areas:
- Gain a better understanding of the needs of NOVAGA members and how we collectively can best serve you.
- Continue providing educational/CPE opportunities and expand the current CPE offerings.
- Identify ways to have more members actively engaged in NOVAGA activities and events.
I am excited about the great year ahead of us filled with activities that I hope will be both enriching and enjoyable. The activities will include a mixture of networking events, meetings, and of course the annual awards dinner in May (at which I hope to see you all!).
